Ha Ha… wow… thanks! I appreciate it.
I normally hate shots of flowers with a passion…
…but these are absolutely fantastic! Love the square cropping too…
True… there’s no way I could afford to learn photography the way I’m doing if I had to pay for all that film and processing. Then again, there’s something to be said about how film photographers try not to waste a single shot. They compose and make their adjustments, trying to make sure everything is perfect before taking the picture. Instead of taking 100 pictures and having 20 good ones, I’d love to be able to take 20 pictures and have them all be what I was aiming for. I think that’s the gift that the expense of film gave ‘analog’ photographers. They had to do it right the first time. I’m glad I shoot digital… but part of me is still trying to remember that every shot counts. I’m not completely there yet, but it’s what I’m aiming for.
There is nothing like shooting closeups. I have always said you can never get “too close” to a subject. And your closeups are always breathtaking. Of course, with film cameras, you don’t have the luxury of going fully manual (unless you know exactly what the results will be) without wasting lots of film and money. Digital has made creativity affordable and very easy to accomplish on your own budget and time. That’s what makes Americanvirus so great Jonas. I can log onto your website at anytime and always see something that makes me think “Creativity”. And you never know what you’ll see. It’s unscripted, talented and totally a surprise. From all of us fans or “Americanviruses” – Thank You Jonas!
Thanks Dennis. It is liberating. I love the feeling of having more control over the image.
Thank YOU Jenn!
I do miss the cherry blossom trees. Beautiful photos!!
Thank you for sharing.
Nice shots!
Can’t wait to see how the shooting in manual turns out… it is quite liberating isn’t it (to know you took control of the camera and what it is capable of)? :)

I’m definitely the lucky one! :)
Wow!! She is beautiful, and with no makeup. I think she is a very lucky lady, but then again I don’t know her, so maybe you are the lucky one…..hehe
Somethin’ I would put up on a wall, it just has that effect
Thanks Hunter- maybe it’s because her eyes have suddenly turned blue in that one. :)
Great last picture. All of them are really good, however the last one, it is like you can see so much in her eyes! Cool.
Thanks Dennis!! It was fun to kind of let loose in there.
Wow… talk about taking Lightroom to the extremes… never knew it could do so much! :)

Amazing! I think you have found your Americanvirus advertising promo shots! The last one is a fantastic piece of art Jonas. I can see that on the cover of a magazine. You’ve taken your talent and knowledge and turned it into a masterpiece. And, of course, Mary has done a superb job as well! You are right – A Mary Can Virus!
