Caitlin & Andrew Get Wed

“We are all a little weird, and life’s a little weird, and when we find someone who’s weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall in mutual weirdness and call it love.” – Dr. Seuss. Caitlin didn’t want a wedding. Caitlin didn’t want to wear white. Caitlin wanted to run away…

Your best work yet man.

KristaSeptember 5, 2011 - 6:59 pm

The thing I love the most about your photography is the story it tells. With this wedding it tells the story so well. It makes me feel like I was there. Amazing!

@Amy – I don’t use filters, but I do process my photos using Lightroom & Photoshop.

AmySeptember 5, 2011 - 12:13 am

Do you use filters on the camera to get that look. I really love photography and want to take a class. How do you get that soft focus, pastel kind of colour and look??

AmericanvirusSeptember 3, 2011 - 10:55 am

@Leanne – Thanks. Almost all my wedding work is digital photography, but I occasionally still shoot film as well.

AMAZING work. This looks like the most *perfect* wedding– what a lucky couple to have had you there to capture and immortalize their special day!! Thanks for all the Etsy love as well; it’s so wonderful to know where all the lovely personal touches came from! (And that cake–is tha flippin’ BOMB!)

Great intro! Outstanding music – it was at a wonderful accompaniment, especially when I got down to pops kicking the soccer ball. =) Could feel Mary present and that’s probably why you’ve been soaring higher with each project. A plus.

*This wedding is featured on Offbeat Bride. When Mary and I pulled up to Odd Fellows Hall and saw a biker showing up on a Harley Davidson decked out with bullet casings and a ‘Surrender The Booty’ flag, we knew this one would be special. Orcas Island. The Biker Dad. Priya, the officiant in fishnets…

The way you captured this wedding blows me away! I love. love. LOVE. the shots of the bride and groom separately in front of the white building on the incline. Amazing! Congrats on being featured!

Solid work Jonas. You just keep getting better and better!

Jonas, you are SUCH an artist! Those are magical. And somehow you’ve made the dock look like a model — or was it? I’m still not sure. I’ve gotta start planning something just to have you photograph it!

Abbey HepnerAugust 10, 2011 - 10:39 pm

What a fun story to tell from the day to go along with these awesome photos. And I absolutely adore her dress!

evantasyAugust 10, 2011 - 6:30 pm
