Soundtrack: Ring Finger by Ambulance.
Ambulance at the Experience Music Project. Seattle, WA.
These guys are definitely the most played band on my iPod right now. Their songs are perfect to edit images to, so it was extra awesome to get a chance to photograph them last weekend at the Experience Music Project. They took away the audience favorite prize for the first semi-final round of Sound Off, Seattle’s 10th annual underage battle of the bands. Their live performance did not disappoint. In fact, I would say they’re one of the best live bands I’ve seen in quite awhile. Definitely check out their CD ‘People In Places’on bandcamp and after that, you can go ahead and buy it from iTunes HERE.
These are great. The first photo looks classic – that hair is awesomely in action. I like the drummer shot through the barrier. With his head down, it’s like he’s in his own world and the barrier accentuates that. The last photo is my favorite. It’s simple. I like how the spot lights and mic stand lead your eyes to the subject. I think the contrast is just right, too. Oh, and I like listening to the music while looking at the photos.
I love your photos so much! The first one is my favorite! Really brilliant!
