Turning over a new leaf. I put this in my body today.
Also new… I’m completely scrapping the idea of separating my personal photos like this which I used to post to a separate blog from posts of my professional work on Americanvirus. Why’d I buy into having to separate that stuff? I’ll tell you why… stupid talk. Stupid talk about branding. Stupid talk about clients having to see only your portfolio work on your blog… well, why have a personal blog? Just have a portfolio. And guess what? I already have one of those.
I started Americanvirus as way to stay creative… not as a way to attract work. It ended up attracting work. But Americanvirus was never about the work. It was always about having fun and sharing stuff from my life. So… of course I’ll still be posting weddings and such here, but It’s back to only one blog for me. One personal blog. This blog.
* Side note ~ I will still keep my tumblr of stuff that inspires me.
Happy New Leaf!
Impressive. I love seeing people not buy into what’s “expected” of them. You’ve just set yourself apart, and in the process improved your business by becoming more efficient. Good for you!
SERIOUSLY. l am so over listening to everyone’s opinion about this… although, you know I’m not one to really listening to everyone else! :) I’m glad you have decided to show what you love, because I feel that if our passion shows then our work will inevitably resonate with the people who we want in our lives. Fuck the haters!
