This is Enid. We met at the Gilbert Hernandez event (see previous post)… and yes, I’m told she’s named after Enid Coleslaw, from the graphic novel Ghost World by Daniel Clowes.

Over this weekend one of Los Bros Hernandez, Gilbert Hernandez, showed up at Fantagraphics Bookstore and Gallery to exhibit some of his original work and sign copies of his new book, ‘The High Soft Lisp‘. I’ve been a fan of Gilbert’s work since forever. It was such an honor to meet him. When my friend Sivan and I arrived, there were plenty of people milling about but everybody was being shy, so Sivan and I got to hang out and chat him up for awhile. He was such a nice and humble man.
