When Mary and I pulled up to Odd Fellows Hall and saw a biker showing up on a Harley Davidson decked out with bullet casings and a ‘Surrender The Booty’ flag, we knew this one would be special.
Orcas Island. The Biker Dad. Priya, the officiant in fishnets and a corset dropping the ‘F’ bomb mid-ceremony. Rob, the groom in a Victorian era tux with a top hat and flight goggles. Sara, the bride in a Chrissy Wai-Ching dress with a rainbow train. The celtic handfasting ceremony where they literally tied the knot. At one point I found myself standing in the middle of what turned out to be a fairly trafficked street trying to capture some sidewalk bridal portraits. The Orcas Island Sheriff pulled up to politely ask me to please try not get run over. All of it made Sara & Rob’s wedding day one I will never forget.

jonas, they’re phenomenal! they’re my fave to date! so many great photos to enjoy – but the piano was so unexpected and gorgeous. my other fave is the first one with the lovely bride in the road, head back, colors in the sky! congratulations to you and mary on a tremendous job!
What a fun story to tell from the day to go along with these awesome photos. And I absolutely adore her dress!
Jonas, you are SUCH an artist! Those are magical. And somehow you’ve made the dock look like a model — or was it? I’m still not sure. I’ve gotta start planning something just to have you photograph it!
Solid work Jonas. You just keep getting better and better!
HER DRESS IS AMAZING!!! It’s like a dream! Wonderful post all around, as always. :)
The way you captured this wedding blows me away! I love. love. LOVE. the shots of the bride and groom separately in front of the white building on the incline. Amazing! Congrats on being featured!
